Do I need a membership?
No, you can benefit from no membership or joining fees and pay as you go. - You can join our optional monthly scheme and train with a choice of 7 classes per week.
Do I need to attend regular classes?
No, if you work shifts and can only make it every so often – that’s absolutely fine.
Do I need to train very often?
No, you can train on a basis that suits your own spare time available. But ideally twice a week is an ideal way forward for good gains and do try to do 1-2 sessions of something else you like to do yourself.
Will I be expected to train hard or at an experienced level?
Not at all! You’re always advised to go at your own pace and build slowly on your fitness and learning ability. Some experienced people are very likely to train alongside you, but they will also help and advise you.
Can I bring a friend along to train with?
Yes, that’s absolutely fine. But if you need to come along on your own, don’t worry Tigers Gym is a very friendly Gym with very friendly people who train there.
I don’t like the idea of group sessions?
Join our 121 personal training sessions – simply call us and speak to Gary or Michelle to book in.
Can I train with an injury?
Some injuries can involve specific training around the injury to keep up some fitness and strength. But first, we do recommend you see a doctor or physiotherapist assess your problem. Then we should be able to work together on specific training to help you move forward again.
Do I need to buy my own gloves and pads?
Yes, due to ongoing required hygiene measures you now need your own gloves for all training and leg pads for Thai boxing sparring. We do have reasonably priced gloves and leg pads available at Tigers Gym.
What do you have you in place for customer’s hygiene for training?
At Tigers Gym we have sanitizer dispensers placed strategically for your use before you enter and in the Gym training area. We do recommend you wash your hands often using the washing gel available. Anti-bacterial sprays and tissue have been placed around the Gym for anyone to use at any time during training.
